Thanks. I am a Michelin man personally. Always had great results from Michelin tires and always go to them for replacement tires. I have Pirelli PZero tires on my Challenger. It will be awhile before I can decide on those.
Good tips on the budget tires. Cooper's used to be great tires too.

    Time for tires !
At just under 47,000 miles, the wife said her tire pressure warning went off last night. I checked and found the tire down 10 pounds. I filled it and took off to the local tire repair guy.
Upon removing the tire I saw a large bolt into the center of the tire, but that wasn't all. On the inside edge, the tread had begun to separate from the carcass. The steel cords were popping though.
    End of tire.
I ordered a set of Michelin Primacy MXV4 and they should be in Monday.
I'll update on them after the install.
Yes, they were more expensive then anything else.
Even the tire man said, you get what you pay for in tries.
    We'll see.

I too find my road noise unacceptable. I assume the ECOPIAS are POS! I'm going to drive around the parking lot in a figure 8 at 9 miles an hour! It's a company car, so I want them to buy me new tires.

You ordered the best tires available for that car. Really there isn't anything better out there for an all season tire.

The new Michelin's are on and that tire noise ... GONE !
Got a good look at the remaining tires and now realize those tires were worn out. Mileage is at 46300, which isn't bad considering some of those here didn't get that much from the stock OEM tires.
They also was a line down the center of the tire, almost like something was rubbing, but I know nothing was. I rotated those tires every 15K too.
Next will be brake pads. They have some life left, but if I had been prepared I would have changed them while the wheels were off.

Any suggestions for replacement disc brake pads ??

For brake pads, i love the Akebono ceramic pads i put on my 95 grand cherokee and would not hesitate to put them on my 200. Price is great when purchasing through Amazon.

I have also not been a fan of these kumhos. They are loud, even with the extra sound deadening in the 200s. When these need replacing i am looking at the bfgoodrich comp-2 all season. They have very solid reviews on tire rack, and a decent price point.

General Altimax RT43's were recommended to me by the local tire guy. Tire rack review's are great and consumer reports rated them in their best picks for 2017 for All season tires. Good snow traction, quiet ad great price. Dealer changed my OEM Ecopias at 5K and by 27K the replacement ecopias vibrated and were noisy.
