    Default Tire noise ?

Thought I would throw this our for some input from others.
Our 200S has Kumho tires, and after 42K miles the wear amount is fair and even across all the tires, but they sing like an old donkey braying.
I mean loud constant tire noise. Been around vehicles long enough to know it's not wheel bearings, but tire noise.
Anybody else with these Kumho tires hearing excessive tire noise ? I think they have another 15K miles left in them, after which time I'll replace them with a set of Michelin's, but until then we have to turn up the radio !

Nope ... not an Oldsmobile, but tire noise and the vehicle manufacturer don't have any correlation. These Kumho's really sing. Can't wait for them to wear out.

Thanks for posting - I will avoid Kumho's when I go to replace my tires, and I need to replace my tires next oil change.

Sorry I don't have the Kumho's and can't give you an answer as to my experience.

I sure hope your tires are not this loud!

They are loud, but I can't say as loud as the video. I am taking the 200 in today for the S55 recall and another tire rotation. By next summer I expect to replace those tires. While I can't complain about the tire wear, because they haven't cupped or feathered on the edges, but the noise is an issue.

Tire rotation today. This time instead of front to back, they did an "X" rotation. A little quieter on the highway, but still noisy.
Can't say I would ever recommend the Kumho tires, even if the price point was exceedingly low.
Also have them on my Dodge Durango. Those have a highway vibration at 62 mph. Not worth doing anything and the dealer couldn't replicate the problem. I always feel it, so I just stay out of that speed range.
Can't feel any difference after the S55 recall.

If you want an excellent quite and comfort tire try the Pirelli cinturato p7 or Michelins, a bit expensive but well worth it. On a budget I'd go with some sumi po2 or cooper gls touring
