I purchased a new 200 Limited 3.6L V6 6 weeks ago and since brand new I noticed a sporadic starting problem. Usually the car would start fine but at least once a day it would crank, try to start and then finally start after 6-7 sec of cranking. I took it back to the dealer and left it for the day but they said they could not replicate the problem and wasn't throwing any codes so not sure what it could be.
Took it back a few days later again complaining about starting issue and they got in touch with Chrysler engineers after running diagnostics on the engine. In the mean time I did some research on my own and found a TSB on a jeep site that described my situation almost exactly although it was for 2014 3.6L equipped vehicles. Brought it to attention of service advisers and they said does not apply to my vehicle.
Problem persisted so I elevated the situation and talked to shop foreman who read the TSB, brought my car in checked and changed the camshaft position sensor and viola starts like a dream all the time every time.
Just wanted to share my experience.
Here is a link explaining the TSB
