    Sounds like you're a first time car owner here and I too also had a little trouble reading your story and understanding where you're getting at. Just a couple of things though, if the dealership has been servicing your car, then they should have spotted the problem earlier, but you're at fault for not checking your oil on your own too. Looks like you'll have to do some damage control with your oil receptacle.

    im a chrysler tech. early 2.4 engines had oil rings upside down and casing oil to burn quick. 2.4 motors will not start or run if there isnt oil in the crank case. if the brick does not have pressure it wont run period. so the tech could not have forgot to fill the oil. customers responsibility is to check the oil between oil changes. whether or not people think they dont have to is irrelevant. its in the owners manual and it will stand up in court
