I understand your level of frustration. I took my car to the dealer with a list of issues, including my UCONNECT dropping calls and a "thud" when I shift my car into reverse and the mystery blast of heat with the ATC turned off. The only thing they fixed was the recall on the headrests.
They had the car for 10 business days and I never pushed for a loaner. The standard response was "We can't duplicate the problem". The only reason I keep the car is because the drivability still remains excellent. I'll just have to live with the little bull$hite.......

I understand how frustrated you must be, too. I don't have the radiator issues discussed here, and not to rub it in your face, but Chrysler was prompt for everything for which I submitted claims (clear coat on Limited wheels, occasionally unresponsive button on steering wheel, rear upper control arms). I'm not saying they're saints, or even exceptional, but my experience thus far has been fairly positive.

Now I understand that your issue is more likely with Chrysler corporate. That, I'm sure, has less variance than the dealer prospect. I know it's easier said than done, but it's when you climb the command chain that things actually start to happen. I've learned this dealing with a few PC manufacturers and vendors. I've never dealt with this regarding automakers, but I can only assume that it's a similar case.

At any rate, just to hopefully ease your mind, while I don't know exactly how true this is, my brother has it on decent authority that if you bring a concern to the manufacturer while you are still under warranty (i.e. make an appointment specifically for said issue), if the condition exacerbates in the future, you should be covered. He has been concerned about his '12 Accord because it has been showing signs of VTC actuator failure (not an infrequent thing in Honda engines I'm told, but not yet a recall or TSB). He was assured on his forum by multiple members, as well as his dealer, that as long as they have record of him bringing it to attention, Honda is expected to cover any related replacements even beyond his warranty (within reason [what's within reason is a valid question]). I've been told that all manufacturers are held to this same standard. I'm admittedly skeptical, but every person I've bothered believes it to be true.

hi, just wondering if you ever got any help with this from the Chrysler people? I have a 2012 with 58,000 mi and have incurred the same problem. I've done alot of research and this has happened to alot of these cars. I've found that it is a design flaw on the engine. When I contacted Chrysler customer service 800-992-1997 I was told that the warranty expired at 36,000. miles and they could do nothing to help me with the estimated 1925.00 + tax repair bill to replace the heater core, thermostat and radiator. I also found complaints at the NHTSA concerning this same issue.
Did the Chrysler Cares do anything to assist you? Thanks for your time.
