Default I want to Upgrade to UCONNECT® 430 multimedia radio receiver

I'm at the beginning stages of upgrading from my stock 130S to the 430
    http://www.driveuconnect.com/system/chrysler/

Just wondering if anyone has any information before I even attempt to tackle such project.
    • Does anyone know if the steering wheel controls are compatible? From one UCONNECT system to the other...
    • For those with the 430 system, how do you like it? Can you still control your iPod or does the system "lock" the iPod and only allow radio interface controls to work?
Here is a picture of my system: http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/4913/f32x.jpg
Here is the picture Chrysler put up on their website (from link above): http://www.driveuconnect.com/images/...30_RES_RSC.jpg

If you notice, my system does not have the U-Connect phone and 'Bluetooth' buttons. I DO have steering wheel controls, but no phone/Bluetooth buttons. I do not see any microphone placement, but I don't know where they put theme. My conclusion is I do not have voice/handsfree/bluetooth package. Anybody know if the 430 system can still be implemented regardless of missing bluetooth/handsfree? I would like handsfree, but I'm really just want a USB port/hard drive. ... If this doesn't make things more complicated.

I'm interested in this process as well, although I'm looking for bluetooth connectivity for my phone.

Our (200) radios are High Speed CAN systems correct?

I believe you will need a module, that plugs into the back of the 430 system; nothing unusual plugs into the module, other than maybe a microphone. Although I can't confirm this and you may know more than me.

Just be careful with the Bus Speeds, otherwise **** could break loose (dash lights will go crazy, system wont work). I'm trying to confirm that the 200 is a High Speed system, called my local dealership and they didn't have a clue what I was asking lol

Why the 430? The 730N RHR allegedly has the uconnect module built-in.

The cost of the 430 + the additional uconnect module + wiring = the cost of the 730.

For the 730 you need the microphone mirror, wiring harness.

For 2011's it's plug and play. For 2012+ it's not.
