Trying to figure out what that whole part is called with all the electrical cables going into it.
That is your 62TE transaxle. The ATF+4 dipstick would go into that plugged tube that says 'For dealer use only'.

Second picture I sent, if you zoom in you can see there looks to be a gap and to the left a broken screw hole?? I can post better pictures.

This end bushing on the shift cable? Is it worn & sloppy?
Aftermarket ones are available. Chrysler sells the complete cable.

It feels like some kind of plastic mesh cover but there's a good gab there and a broken screw thread. Is that going to be a problem?

That is the black sealer (RTV) that is used as a gasket maker. Someone may have had that black front pan off in the past for servicing?

That threaded stud instead of a bolt is OK. You may find them around as they are used in some applications to mount brackets, etc.

I do know a new transmission was put in at 87k miles. But what about the piece to the left of the RTV. Is that need or suppose to be flush up to the RTV?

OK, I see what you mean now. Is it a loose piece of plastic? It may have been part of the wiring harness bracketry to route the harness securely & keep it out of harms way?
If you see loose wiring looms in that area, they can be held by zip-ties so that they don't rub against other components. It may have been left incomplete when they put the transaxle back in?

It's seems like it might just be some kind of plastic type cover that goes over the part circled in blue. Its not metal because it flexs when pushing on it or moving it closer to the RTV. Maybe it is to

protect it from rust and what not.

Some of these pan coatings were like a black epoxy paint?
