Welcome to the forum. You are in Western NY? I'm over here in Rochester. So you already know about hard winters & road salt.
Cut or corroded wiring is the most common failure, followed by physical impact damage. Take a very close look at the harness. Look for any green powder. It only takes a pinhole.
Grasp & lightly pull on any lumpy or kinked-appearing wires, if it stretches, the wire is broken inside.
See Possible Causes. PCM failure is last on the list as it is rarely the problem & everything else has to be ruled out first:

Rule out the Possible Causes one-by-one. Does the fault set right away or after some time?
If it is right away (like during a self-test), it should be fairly obvious what is wrong. If it is an 'intermittent' problem, check the snap-shot or freeze-frame information stored when the fault code was set. This is what the PCM saw at the time of the failure. This may provide a way to duplicate the failure event so you can hunt it down.
