My ac has been blowing out hot air at first when I start the car in the morning. I’d have to turn the temp really low to get cold air out before it normalizes. How can I fix this and what’s causing it?

Has the cabin air filter been inspected or changed recently? If you park around trees, these can get clogged.
I lay down newspaper on the passenger floor before pulling it out ever since I had a surprise leaf dump.

Check the condenser and radiator fins for debris. I had a build-up of 'fluff' between the condenser & radiator that was not readily visible, but it was enough to block airflow.

There is a HVAC software update for cars built before May 2nd 2016 that may or may not help.

Other than that, I would get the high-side & low-side pressures checked.
