I was about to order the aem intake for my 15' 200S with the 2.4 when i did a little research on it. According to a review on amazon this intake doesn't have a place to plug the MAF into, which is odd to me since aem says they have tested this intake and gain "8hp" with it. How'd they manage to run it without the MAF lol but anyway just wanted to point this out to anyone with the tigershark that was going to order this intake, which as of now is the only option for our engines!:( Heres the link for amazon where i found the review

and heres AEM's website link, which now shows "w/o MAF sensor"

I know the 3.6 is the best engine for these cars but i would love to see some more aftermarket for the 2.4's And yes i know an intake wont add 8hp and make my car faster, but i would love to see a decent intake, tune, exhaust, etc for these engines eventually! Okay im done for now!

Funny......another performance company building a product, assuming that it will work on one car because it worked on another, or a previous model year. Really makes you wonder if there's any validity to their 8hp claim......and if you could test on your own that it loses power. Dynos can be subjective.

currently in a chat with AEM right now, he says our cars do not have a mass air flow sensor but only an air intake sensor, i will keep you guys updated and if he guarantees this will work i will order one

I would be very interested in seeing what you come up with. As I mentioned in another thread. There is NO place for the MAF. If you figure it out, please share. I have a useless intake taking up space in a big box at home.

I just recieved this intake and im bummed, THERE IS NO MAF OR MAP ADAPTER I CALLED AND THEY SAID THAT THEY SPECIFIED THERE WAS NO MAF SENSOR, first off that should have been a red flag to me because chrysler has only ever had map sensors so now what can i do. is not including the maf in the install even an option

When I bought my 96 Impala SS, Jet made a temp switch to turn the fans on sooner. But they never tested on the 96 as it was OBDII and the 94-95 was not. Turns out the PCM didn't like the fans coming on sooner and threw a code. Eventually fixed that with a custom tune later down the road.

Well this bit me in the ass, i posted this on the FB page but ill post it here as well
Just thought i would share my experience with the AEM intake for my 2.4..
I recieved the intake today, and upon dissasembly of my stock intake i noticed i did in fact have a MAF. I called AEM last week to verify that this intake will work with a mass air flow sensor and they said the 2.4 only has an IAT sensor and not a MAF, well that was completely wrong. So once i found my MAF i called them again and the representative said that some 2.4's have the MAF and some do not, which was completely different from what i was told when i called them last week. Im a little disappointed and wish they would make 2 different intakes for these cars, but then again i have no idea why chrysler would have some 200's with a MAF and some without, just frustrating! I am sending the intake back for a full refund tomorrow. SO for those of you considering this intake check to make sure you DO NOT have a MAF, its right on the factory intake box so you cant miss it

Not sure if they lied, think (and might be wrong) that they had old information. When the 2.4 200 first came it out, it didn't have PZEV. It wasn't until later in 2014 did they start offering PZEV. So I'm betting the seller just had old information. Otherwise, they had really bad information.

I'm just not sure if the MAF is tied to PZEV. But we discussed that on facebook.

But wouldn't that be a first gen 200? If you are a manufacture, would you not check Generational changes? Also, there is no way they tested this without tossing some kind of error/light.. so like I said they lied OR guessed. I just wouldn't purchase stuff from a vendor that can't take a few minutes to check into updated generational changes or test a product.

yeah im not sure how it ties in but that must be it. You would think that since they already have an intake out it wouldn't take much to modify it to accept both the IAT and MAF, but that's just me! I have emailed both K&N and AEM and both do not plan on making an intake that accepts the MAF at this time

here you go guys.. Here is the picture of the adapted aem intake (been running this intake for going on 5 months).. Performance is good as far as wot goes, readily accelerates, definitely needs a tune to compensate for shifts, but even without i would say it was a worthwhile modification

I think Just making a hole closer to the throttle body and using the grommet for the IAT would've been a cleaner set up and attaching a piece of aluminum with screw holes for the MAF up front where the hole was originally. I just got one from Amazon for $85 so I'll go ahead and do this. I'll post pics when I'm done, hopefully this weekend.

glad to see you made it work with adapting the MAF! It was a very well put together intake when i recieved mine, just didnt have the time to try and make it work, looks good!
