Hi. I installed a Pioneer GM-DX975 5 channel amplifier that pushes 600W out the subwoofer and 75 Watts out each door speaker. Right now I only have a dual Kicker Comp C 10 inch sub connected to the amp. Along with this amp, I installed an aftermarket stereo, replaced most lights in the car (inside and license plate lights) with LED bulbs and am planning to install door speakers and HID bulbs in the future, however I am now becoming concerned with the amount of power being drawn from the car. Sometimes my instrument cluster will flicker on and off and turn off for a brief second while the car is in drive and this is a major safety concern to me.

Do you guys think this is a battery issue or alternator issue and how do you suggest I can get it fixed? Thanks.

A second battery is where you would run all of your "extra" accessories. The battery isolator would allow the charging system to only charge one battery at a time as needed so it doesn't strain the alternator. This also allows for the "main" battery to remain for the car systems itself. With a second battery, this also allows you to select a larger battery. There are many universal kits that allow a second battery to be installed in the trunk of cars.
