I have a 2013 Chrysler 200 touring 2.4 L with an automatic 6 speed. Can I swap out the 4 cylinder for a v6? The timing chain in my current motor is bad and the 4 cylinders are crap so I need to know if putting a v6 in instead is an option. Unfortunately I owe too much on it to get rid of it so repair is my only option. What's the least costly route to go here??

By bad, do you mean noisy? Has someone diagnosed and estimated this for you?
The chain, tensioner and guides can be serviced before something breaks and crashes the valves. At this point, sooner rather than later, this may be the least costly route.
A V6 conversion would require a donor vehicle as about 1/3 of the car would need to be changed. Even then it would not be plugn'play as the modules would need to match your VIN configuration and equipment
The cheapest way is to fix what you have.
The latest and greatest PCM/TCM software update may help the 4-cyl run and shift nicer.
