I have a plug that is free but cannot locate where it should go or what part name and part number it is. Vehicle is a 2014 200 lx. The plug is located above the passenger headlight assembly. My reader is giving me codes B165E and B1630. Thank you for your help.

Welcome to the forum. There is either a mating half to that or it plugs into the back of the headlamp assembly.
Circuit high or circuit open is a disconnection. Match the following wire colors.
B1630-RIGHT LOW BEAM CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH.
B165E-PARK LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN.

Thank you, I completely disassembled the headlight assembly to put in new light and to better find where it went. But the headlight assembly doesn't have an open connector for it. And the surrounding areas dosent have a female end to go into.

Is the connector 'clean', like it was plugged in recently?
Does the right headlamp and parking lamp even work?
Is this same connector over on the left side & is it plugged in?

It may be for used for Base or Premium (HID) lighting and not used in your car?
Incorrect bulbs can cause those fault codes. Did you just get this car?

LEDs draw less current than conventional incandescent bulbs and can set 'open' codes.
A resistor in parallel will raise current draw and 'mimic' a conventional bulb. This may stop the TIPM from setting these codes.

I know for a fact it hasn't been plugged in for at least a year, but before that I'm uncertain. There is a slight bit of patina on the inside where connections should meet. But they're not completely overtake by patina or rust. And the driver side does not have a similar plug that i could fine. It is only on the passenger side. Now that you mention it the running light is out on that side.

I believe this is the connector for the hood ajar sensor needed for remote start. It appears the one wire is purple which would confirm (the second wire would be black). The sensor installs in the slot just right of the connector.

Is it a feature for the model above the lx? I've never had a remote start installed.

Remote start is an option. I believe that the connector was prewired in 2013 and 2014 regardless if remote start was present. My 2014 came with the connector and I was able to add the remote start by installing the hood ajar switch and receiver cup attached to the hood. I have a convertible so the WCM (wireless control module) was already able to accept the remote start keyfob and only needed new keyfobs and a visit to the dealer to add the sales code for remote start. The 4-door sedan would need a new WCM to accept the remote start feature.

Oh okay that'd make sense, I think the parking light might be what's throwing thr code then. I'll swap it out and see if it clears. Thank you

If these are the wire colors on that plug, it would be for the optional hood switch.
