Hi all, I've been here learning and enjoying this forum for a couple months and thanks for y'all.

This is my first ever inquiry, a small DIY during this pandemic. I noticed that 2 air filters (engine and cabin) need to be replaced. It looks really and old and dirty. So I order this Genuine Mopar Engine Air Filter 3.0L - 4861688AB | Mopar Genuine Parts as suggested by our friend (starting to be a mechanic) for my 3.0L.

Now I'm reading threads and watching DIY tutorials and YT. My questions are: what do I need to avoid when replacing air filter and how often should I replace it? Thanks. Any reply will be highly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums. That would not be the correct air filter for a 200. You either have the 2.4L 4-cyl or the 3.6L V6 engine.
The filter shown is for the 3.0L diesel in the 300 and Grand Cherokee.

Download the owners manual for your car. It will list the service intervals so you know when to replace filters etc and may even supply the correct part #.
