Hello all. I have a 2015 chrysler 200 l with 47000 miles on it. The problem i am having is the center comsole is not working. The dials for air ,volume and tuner do not work or light up. Everything works if i use the touch display but nothing with the dials. I was thinking it was a short but would like to know if any one has had the same issues. Also the odometer statrted flashing as well dont know why but im sure it is not supposed to do this. Any help big or small will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

You either do not have B+ (+12v) going to the center console (blown fuse, wiring problem, or a changed center console) or a bad OEM Battery... Everything in these cars are "married" to each other and if they loose this relationship the odometer flashes to say the car can't talk to a device on the CANBUS network...

You also may have to have the BCM reflashed by your Chrysler dealer... The car can loose programing and may need to have the BCM reflashed by their "Proxi" software...
BUT...

I would first suggest highly that you check ALL fuses under the hood and under the dash...One simple fuse that seams not to be related (labeled differently) may cause your problems... Fuses are "shared" between circuits and one that seems unrelated to your problem may have blown...

Another VERY common failure item on these cars is the OEM battery... These cars have many small computers called MPUs and the car can (and will) do strange things if the battery is on it's way out... The computers get confused and you might get things to work by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for say 10 minutes...
They all don't get shut down with the ignition off (key out) and just one confused computer can cause all kinds of problems... It would be wise to just replace the OEM battery anyway if it hasn't been done yet...

May I ask if ANY changes have been made to the car before these problems cropped up?

Just some suggestions from another 200 owner...
Dave

I have a 2015 and I have the problem as well. My knobs work but the radio, back-up camera, compass, and climate control does not work. You have to guess at defrost temp

Welcome to the forums. A blinking odometer display usually indicates a loss of CAN bus communication with the BCM or other modules. It may require a capable scan tool and a PROXI recalibration?
There are some software updates that might apply to your issue?:
At the same visit, ask to make sure that the PCM and TCM software is also up to date for best running and smoothest shifting.

Hello, I have a 2015 200s (122k miles so no warranty and the dealer wants $150 just to diagnose) with the 5.0 "Unconnect" and yesterday, as I was listening to FM radio, it made a noise similar to the emergency signal test but when I looked at the screen, the letters/numbers were yellowish and then the screen went black and white vertical lines appeared on the left side of the screen then the screen turned off, but the speakers were making noise as if power was still trying to get through. I pulled over and turned the car off hoping it would just need to reset but nothing happened, still got some noise from the speakers for a bit. I took the "Radio" fuse (80?) out for a minute and nothing, disconnected the negative on the battery for a minute or so and nothing. Held down the mute and tune buttons on "Run" and nothing. Checked all fuses and nothing looks blown. Odometer is also flashing but the compass and outside temp work fine. Clock is all zeros. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Would rather have some info as to what the problem might be before taking stuff apart.

A flashing odometer may indicate a 'loss of communication'. This might have happened when you were disconnecting things? A PROXI alignment may be needed.
There is an update TSB 08-027-15B for the RA2 radio that may be needed:
Dealers set their own labor rates and the diagnostic/minimum charge is usually 1.0 flat rate hour. You might find a service dept that charges less? Call around and ask about shop policies.
