Sirius pushed a software update out last night that's causing issues. They're in the process of developing a fix.

There is no update that has to be performed, Sirius already rolled out their repair. Anyone else that is still experiencing issues should take their vehicle in for service.

You might want to inquire at the dealer if your vehicle is a candidate for Chrysler TSB # 08-027-15B. It is an RA2 radio software update that addresses the display screen shutting off or locking up. Also the audio can mute which will appear as though the radio is shutting off.
I found a similar TSB for other FCA products (not yours specifically) that has some of the Symptoms/Conditions that you describe here:
Have them update all the modules that have an available update while the WiTech tool is plugged in and the vehicle is in the shop.

I looked up vin # of car on UConnect and it said software update like one you typed is available. I believe with thumb drive I can do myself. Seems pretty straightfoward. You agree?
Thank you for responding

Yes, I have done radio/GPS updates to my own car in the driveway. Try the UConnect update first.

Hi it’s me again, I installed update on SD thumb drive manufacturer Sandisk. It did not work. Radio display says device not supported. I have heard but not confirmed that sandisk is not compatible with uconnect. Any ideas what usb thumb drive I can use?
Thank you

I used Sandisk with no issues. It might be the file system on the thumb drive not compatible. Check which one and reformat with a different one. i.e. Fat32 vs NTFS. Worth a shot.

The usb drive must be completely empty of content. Then it must be properly formatted. For people not computer savvy, like myself, it took a couple try's before I reread all directions and carefully followed them and I was then successful.
The disk I use is also a SanDisk, so that is not an issue.

Here is some information from Allpar: How To: Updating UConnect Firmware Yourself

There are several youtube video's available also.

See FAQ on the driveuconnect website. In addition to the above, it is recommended to load the program onto the PC hard drive, then download it to the thumbdrive.
You can contact them as well if you don't find your solution.
