2014 200 with 117k miles. Started making a clunk when stepping on gas fro a stop or going very slow. Same thing when stepping on brake. Steering smooth no vibration not noticed when turning, maybe apparent going over small bumps at slow speeds. First post thanks for reading

Welcome to the forums. Like a 'rubbery' thump from the front end? Check for play in motor/transaxle mounts and rubber suspension arm bushings.

Thanks 200_S_AWD, Yes maybe rubbery and yes front end, I can feel it slightly in the steering wheel and foot pedals. I will check it out this weekend and give an update Monday.

In Chrysler FCA infinite wisdom they thought hydraulic filled rubber motor mounts would be a good idea, fail! Not sure when they started this practice but the wife's 2011 Grand Cherokee had them and they were a bitch to change.

Many automakers now use hydrostatic motor mounts. It isn't just FCA. They can get expensive too.
