I just purchased a new 200 touring with the 3.6 V6 and was wondering where the
heck is the transmission dipstick? The owners manual does not even show one
for the 3.6 V6 motor.

The 3.6 and the 2.4 with 6 speed trans don't come with dipstick. It's dealer only.
If you want to check it your self you would need a scanner that can read trans oil temp, and a special dipstick. And a chart where it bases on the temp of trans it gives you the correct level reading that sould be on the dipstick.

Who checks it anyway? I can't remember when I ever checked the transmission fluid level in the past. It's always been a dealer issue when I have the car in for service, oil changes, etc.
I just don't worry about it, because I try to stay on top of all my regular service!

The transmission like many other newer model vehicles is not equipped with a dipstick.

Miller Tools and dealer parts dept can order a trans dipstick for you if you would like one.

Tool Part Number = 9336A

Many new vehicles no longer have a transmission dipstick. Yours included.
Here is a thread explaining why these transmissions don't require service and a page from the owners manual.
