New to the forum and happy to discover it:) Have a 2013 200 convertible. Happy so far but yesterday put the top down and the trunk would not close: Any one have an idea on the problem? The manual says it may damage the top to do the over ride but doubt that is not my issue. Thank you in advance.

I have a 2012 convertible. There are a number of possibilities why the decklid won't go down but probably the most common is damage to the wiring harness near the passenger side trunk hinge. There is another forum specifically for Chrysler convertibles and you probably should visit that site to get more information. There are several threads with pictures that show the exact problem. Basically the wiring harness has to bend a great deal when you open the trunk and eventually the wires flex so much that they crack and break.

Most of the Chrysler dealers are not very knowledgeable about the convertible top system. For only $50 you can buy software for a Windows laptop that has all the functionality of the dealer diagnostic computer and it will show any trouble codes with the "power top control module".

Here is a link to the Chrysler convertible forum...

And here is a link the diagnostic software...

And a link specifically about the broken wire problem.
